Abandoned Green Tea Field

Few young Japanese wish to live the life of a tea farmer in the beautiful and remote mountains of central Honshu. As a result, many farms are abandoned and left untended after the aging farmer dies or decides to retire. This tea field was likely abandoned within the last year as the shape of the plants is still distinct yet the rows are clearly overgrown and no tea has been harvested. Within another year the tea plants will likely be completely overgrown and the site barely recognizable as a tea field. I sometimes happen across such fields which have been completely reclaimed by the forest, with the only sign of man's former presence being the distinct stone walls of the field's terrace.

After I filmed this video I wandered down the road another 100 yards to a dead end where a lovely old farm house was found. The home was modest yet full of charm and life, all of which was the doing of a spry old woman who is the home's sole occupant. I would not have troubled the woman had she not been outside tending her garden when I passed by. She was very happy and talkative and clearly delighted to have a visitor. Her garden was lovely with a modest vegetable plot and many potted plants and assorted bonsai. Water from a nearby stream trickled through pipes to fill a small carp pond. And a small cemetery plot could be seen above her home which is often a sign that the family has been living in this spot for a very long time. I was a bit uncomfortable as I feared I was intruding so I did not try to film or ask her any prying questions though I gathered that the abandoned tea field in this video may belong to her, and as it seems she was living alone I suspect that her husband may have passed recently and this may be the reason the field is untended. This is speculation to be sure though the pattern is one I have seen unfolding often in the remote villages of these high mountains.

Good evening all of ya English forum peeps..Today was one of ‘em “idle hands” days at work, which means I spent 8 hours of my life doing pretty much nothing..So we all gathered the six of us “human resources peeps” at the finishing works division in our agency. And as we were bored to death we had to come up with something to pass the time…so, my friend Edgar, starts talking about “love”, nobody complained or said anything, ‘cause that’s Edgar being Edgar, but the thing is…today the “Love Fever” spread to some of the other guys – probably Dido’s “White Flag” which was playing on the computer at the time has something to do with that - and they did their own fair share of “sharing”…in the other hand “ME” was to busy being the typical “ME” giving ‘em a face close to this one – since there is no dog face in the real life – ..anyway, it wasn’t all bad since they gave me this insanely wacky idea, to write a love story.. an idea approved by my mate Mr. Edgar..So behold, English forum peeps, the greatest love story of ‘em all…the story that will make Romeo & Juliet sound like child’s play..Inspired by -and combined of in case you wanna know- several pieces of the stories I heard, and of course my unmistakable magical touch I give you: ...[ ... I'm not sad or angry, it's not even that serious but it could ruin my weekend!You know sometimes you ask a friend a favor and you expect the answer to be yes 100% of the time and it's not even that big of a favor. Good evening to everybody. It is my second subject in this great forum. I thank all the members who replied and wanted to know more. I tell them: I'm here for you and only for you so if you have any question in English and its literature I'm ready
Today topic is about why English is the most difficult language in the world. Indeed it is and it is not but I wrote it to gain your attention. I'll talk about the difficulties of English but first let me star by a short introduction of English language in history
As human being's language, language changes all the time. This happens without our awareness. I will part English to three parts1- Old English2- Middle English3- Modern EnglishThese are the three parts of English. If we look at them we find that they are ordered in a chronological order. What's unique in English is that each language (middle-old-modern) starts and ends in a piece of literature. The old English started when the Celtic (the original people of England) wrote their literature. So it started by the famous work which it is Beowulf and lasted till Chaucer and his famous work Canterbury tales. When Chaucer started his works it was written in the Middle English. The Middle English lasted till the born of Shakespeare. His works was written with the modern English. From this point the modern English starts till now. So now I will make a small classification to make the idea clear:Old English (Beowulf 8th century) Middle English (Chaucer 1387 13th century)Modern English (Shakespeare 1564 the birth of Shakespeare )
Now after this boring introduction we come to the second part of my subject which it is the difficulties of English language. I prefer to count them first then I'll explain them one by one1- English is not a morpho-syntactic language like Arabic2- Words order3- Non pronounced letters
First of all, English is not a morpho-syntactic language like Arabic .do you know what is the meaning of this term??? Don't get upset!!!!I'll explain it. it is the segmentation between the verb and pronoun. In Arabic we've no segmentation in its pronoun so we sayسألتهاbut in English we say I asked her. So (I) is separated from (asked) and from (her). It is the difference. So we realize that in our native language we have what we call morpho-syntactic rule but not in English. It is the reason when we as tyros (beginners of learning a language) of English we convey the meaning from the mother language to the second language without taking into consideration how does it shape
Secondly, word order is one of the problematic elements that makes English difficult for Arab learner a language. It is so because of the order of adjective, adverbs, verbs and even the pronouns differ from the Arabic language. In Arabic we use VSO sentence (Verb-Subject-Object) but in English we use SVO (Subject-Verb-object) and this is another difficulties of English language
Finally, the last difficulty is the non pronounced letters in English language. In English we pronounce not what we see but what the word is pronounce according to its nation. For example eight the /g/ and /h/ are not pronounced. Why we pronounce ph as /f/ why /g/ is not pronounced in foreign and why and why…..ETC.

You want to be confident and feel confident, but what if you're starting with little or no confidence?How do you get from Point A to Point B? True self-confidence isn't an overnight acquisition. It takes dedication to realize you are a good human being that is worthy of respect and love.
The Steps
Recognize your insecurities. What does in the back of your mind say? What makes you ashamed of yourself? This could be anything from acne, to regrets, to emotional abuse (past or present) from a loved one or friends at school. Whatever is making you feel unworthy, ashamed, or inferior, identify it, give it a name, and write it down.
Talk about it with friends and loved ones. Wear it on your sleeve. Each day chip away at it; wear it down. There's no quick fix. Get to the root of the problem; focus on it and understand that you need to resolve each issue before you can move on.
Remember that nobody is perfect. Even the most confident people have insecurities. At some point in any of our lives, we may feel we lack something. That is reality. Learn that life is full of bumps down the road.
Identify your successes. Everyone is good at something, so discover the things at which you excel, then focus on your talents. Give yourself permission to take pride in them. Give yourself credit for your successes. Inferiority is a state of mind in which you've declared yourself a victim. Do not allow yourself to be victimized.
Be thankful for what you have. A lot of the times, at the root of insecurity and lack of confidence is a feeling of not having enough of something, whether it's emotional validation, good luck, money, etc. By acknowledging and appreciating what you do have, you can combat the feeling of being incomplete and unsatisfied. Finding that inner peace will do wonders for your confidence.
Be Positive, even if you don't feel positive. Avoid self-pity, or the pity and sympathy of others. Never allow others to make you feel inferior--they can only do so if you let them. If you continue to loathe and belittle yourself, others are going to do and believe likewise. Instead, speak positively about yourself, about your future, and about your progress. Do not be afraid to project your strengths and qualities to others. By doing so, you reinforce those ideas in your mind and encourage your growth in a positive direction.
Look in the mirror and smile. Studies surrounding what's called the "facial feedback theory" suggest that the expressions on your face can actually encourage your brain to register certain emotions. So by looking in the mirror and smiling every day, you might feel happier with yourself and more confident in the long run.
Fake it. Along the same lines of smiling to make yourself feel happy, acting confident might actually make you believe it. Pretend you're a completely confident version of you; go through the motions and see how you feel.
Express yourself, whether it's through art, music, writing, etc. Find something you enjoy. Everyone is born with talents and strengths. You can develop and excel in yours. If it's difficult to name two or three things you have some ability in or just plain love to do, think about things others do that you would like to do too and take some lessons or join an enthusiasts club. When you're following your passion, not only will it have a therapeutic effect, but you'll feel unique and accomplished, all of which can help build your self confidence. Plus, adding a variety of interests to your life will not only make you more confident, but it will increase your chances of meeting compatible friends!
Stick to your principles. It might be tough, but if you don't have something you can believe in, you don't have anything. No matter what's happened in your life, you can always lay claim to the fact that from this day forward, you've followed your principles to the best of your ability.
